The album draws inspiration from the book 'hōyūzu setsu,' dating back to Japan's Edo period (1603-1868), exploring the ancient Japanese aesthetic concept of 'folding, tying, and wrapping.' Its thematic essence is reflected in a collection of 10 tracks, comprising both unreleased songs and remixes. The music transcends genres, creating a dynamic and liberating sonic landscape that encapsulates and untangles the complexities of our world.

Included in this album are unreleased tracks and remixes, along with sound sources featured in the ISSEY MIYAKE 2021 Spring/Summer Collection 'UNPACK THE COMPACT.' Originally released in 2020 via video distribution due to the impact of the pandemic.

Mastered by Taylor Deupree, an electronic sound and ambient music virtuoso known for collaborations with Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Sylvian, this album also features remixes by Meitei, an emerging Japanese ambient electronic musician, and the improvisation techno unit BERVATRA. The album will be available in both cassette tape and digital formats.

テーマは、「折る・結ぶ・包む」といった日本古来の美意識の原点、江戸時代中期に書かれた書物『包結図説（ほうゆうずせつ）』から着想を得て制作された。

この混乱した世界を包み込み、そして、解き放つような楽曲をジャンルを越境し、躍動感あふれる自由な表現で構築した音世界となっている。

本作は、2020年にコロナの影響により映像配信の形式で発表された、ISSEY MIYAKE 2021年春夏コレクション「UNPACK THE COMPACT」で使用された音源に加え、未発表曲、REMIXを含む全10曲で構成されている。

マスタリングを手がけたのは、坂本龍一やデヴィッド・シルヴィアンとのコラボレーションを行う〈12k〉主宰の電子音響/アンビエントの名手Taylor Deupree。また、日本が誇るアンビエントの新進電子音楽家・Meitei(冥丁)によるREMIX曲、インプロビゼーション・テクノユニットBERVATRAのREMIX曲など、全10曲をカセットテープ/デジタルにて同時リリース。
